From the second semi-final Anna Prisjaźnuka advanced to the final with a great 7:0 win over Liana Machukans. However, Prisjaźnuka could not hold the pace in the final as Siranchuk won 7:2.
The unbeaten Trudnowski
Last stage semi-final hill-hill defeat against Guntars Timermanis (LAT) must have tasted bitter for Trudnowski as this time he did not lose any matches. Starting with a scare in the first round as he managed to escape the hill-hill match against Joonas Saloheimo (Finland). In the semi-final he got his revenge by beating Timermanis 9:5. However, in the final he had to face another hill-hill battle against Tauno Markovskis (EST) which Trudnowski managed to win 9:8.
The weekend kick-off with Mini
Trudnowski kicked off his weekend well as he won the Friday evening mini event. He showed good composure by beating Makkonen in the final, and naturally, with hill-hill match. Third places went Estonian young guns Karl Gnadeberg and Gert Maimre.
Farewell to 2023 in Riga
The season 2023 has ended with the event in Riga. This year was a year of renewal of the league and therefore saw many new ideas which were implemented throughout the year. Many of them were successful and some of them would need some adjustment. The organizing team promises to make the analysis and be back with another great season in 2024.
A great gratitude goes out to all the athletes, volunteers, fans and all other people and companies that were part of another nice event. Additional gratitude to Estonian Billiard Federation, Latvian Billiard Federation and Lithuanian Pool Federation for their cooperation. Last but not least a big gratitude goes out to all the sponsors – Mezz Cues, Holly Case, Aramith, Iwan Simonis, Kamui, Aveiras, Turtle Rack Sheet, Arena Billiards Club, Bams Pool House, and Hill-Hill Pool Club.
