MEZZ CUES BALTIC POOL LEAGUE 2022 FINAL

The grand finale of the Mezz Cues Baltic Pool League 2022 was held in Arena Billiards. The autumnal Kaunas is always nice and so was the ending of the season. Karl Gnadeberg (EST) won the men’s event, Agne Jarushauskaite (LIT) women’s event and Guntars Timmermannis (LAT) was victorious in the Oldboys division.

Karl Gnadeberg is the season best of the Baltics
Karl Gnadeberg made sure to wave all the doubters because of his young age. The 16-years old hotshot managed to win the 2022 season overall ranking as well as this weekend’s grand finale.

The Estonians were on fire this weekend as all the men’s division medals went to Estonia. Although Gnadeberg had his ups and downs during the last weekend, he still managed to add another gold medal on his neck. In the final he won Stanislav Saiov 8:5 and in the semi-final the World Cup of Pool bronze medalist Mark Mägi 8:6. Saiov’s semi-final was a real cracker as he was trailing 2:7 against Raimo Teesaar but managed to win 8:7 in the end.

The 2022 season men’s division was ruled by Estonian athletes as in the overall ranking Gnadeberg was followed by Raimo Teesaar and third place went to Maksims Dragans from Latvia.

The women’s division is firmly in the hands of Lithuanian players as Agne Jarushauskaite won this weekend’s grand finale. Second place went to Gintare Gauliene and third was Andra King (EST).

The top three of the 2022 overall ranking is dominated by Lithuanian athletes as well as Simona Milishauskaite won the ranking, second place went to Diana Jelinskiene and third place to Gintare Gauliene.

This time Timmermanis
To finish off the dominance debate of different divisions the Oldboys division is no different as the Latvians have the total control of this division. The only question seems to be whether the winner is Guntars Timermanis or Ivo Ulmanis, and this weekend it was Timmermanis who won the grand finale. Naturally, in the final he was up against Ulmanis and managed to win 7:5. The third places were Rusis Martinsh (LAT) and Dainius Vidźiunas was keeping the Lithuanian flag high.

The overall ranking was finally won by Ivo Ulmanis who left Guntars Timermanis on second place and Gatis Taube to finish off the Latvian top three of the total ranking.

Another great season in the bag.
