Drama, Triumph, and Unforgettable Moments in Klaipėda: Mezz Cues Baltic Pool League 2025 – Stage II
The Mezz Cues Baltic Pool League 2025 – Stage II wrapped up this past weekend in Klaipėda, Lithuania, leaving behind a trail of unforgettable matches, emotional victories, and rising stars. Held in the stunning and stylish Black Ball Billiard Club, this event proved once again why the Baltic Pool League is a pillar of regional competition and sportsmanship.
This stage featured an impressive 121 participants, divided across four divisions:
•Open – 53 players
•Women – 12 players
•Seniors – 15 players
•Mini – 41 players
Over three days of high-level pool, every division delivered its own story of excellence, determination, and dramatic turnarounds.

🔵 OPEN DIVISION – Estonia Dominates Again
The final in the Open division was a high-level showdown between two of Estonia’s finest: Denis Grabe and Karl Gnadeberg. The match was a tactical and mental battle, where experience met rising talent. Grabe, one of the most accomplished players in the region, held his nerve and sealed the win with a composed and clinical finish in the final racks.
In the semifinals, Mark Mägi and Vilius Schulte gave valiant efforts but fell short in fiercely contested matches. Mägi lost to Grabe after an intense back-and-forth encounter, while Schulte, representing the Lithuanian side, pushed Gnadeberg to dig deep for his spot in the final.

👩 WOMEN’S DIVISION – An Unbelievable Triumph for Diana
No match in this tournament brought more emotional energy and suspense than the final in the Women’s Division. Diana Jelinskienė of Lithuania, long considered an underdog, faced off against Estonia’s contender Andra King.
The match was a true rack-by-rack battle, stretching all the way to double hill. Neither player gave an inch, trading racks in one of the most balanced and nerve-wracking matches of the weekend. Tension filled the air in Black Ball as spectators held their breath between every shot.
And then — the turning point. After Andra’s final visit ended with a missed opportunity on the winning 9 ball, Diana stepped in, calmly pocketed the decisive shot, and clinched the most important victory of her career.
For Diana, this wasn’t just a trophy — it was a dream fulfilled. Diana lifted the Baltic Pool League trophy with tears and disbelief. The moment was shared with a cheering local crowd who knew they had just witnessed history in the making.

👴 SENIORS DIVISION – Latvia Stands Tall
In the Seniors division, it was a clean sweep for Latvia. Girts Aivars claimed the title in a dominant run, facing fellow countryman Ivo Ulmanis in the final. Their matchup, though friendly in spirit, was fiercely contested. Girts’ tactical discipline and sharp potting gave him the edge.
Semifinalists Guntars Timermanis and Maciej Trudnowski also showed great form, both securing well-deserved third places.

⚫ MINI DIVISION – A Competitive Warm-Up Ground for Amateurs
This time, it was Eimantas Šveikauskas who came out on top, delivering a steady and confident performance throughout the event. In the final, he faced off against Estonia’s Aleksandr Tkatšuk, securing the title with calm and consistency.
Semifinalists Gert Gnadeberg and Justas Balčiūnas also showcased solid performances and earned well-deserved third-place finishes in what was a tightly contested division.
